Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - Emotional Depletion

Chronic fatigue syndrome is a disorder characterized by extreme fatigue that cannot be explained by any other underlying medical condition. This condition occurs mostly in women. The fatigue is often worsened by physical activity but is not improved by rest.

  • Feeling disinterested, passionless

  • Resistance to change, thus feeling stuck

  • Feeling depleted and bored by life

Supportive Affirmations:

“It is safe to be enthusiastic about my passions. I put my energy into my interests, allowing myself to reconnect with joy.”

How can you focus on your own happiness?

This is a major issue amongst women, especially mothers. They give, give, give until there is nothing more to give, and they become irritated, resentful, and bitter. They pick up a phone from a friend and let her vent for an hour, they make food for everyone in the family, cleaning in the meantime, they work a full-time job and raise children, they respond to comments online at 10pm at night; they are always there attending to other's needs.

But they are also the ones who rarely are acknowledged, rarely the ones who receive support, they rarely ask for help and assistance, they rarely say no, mostly out of fear of rejection. Their lives seem unchanged, predictable, uninteresting. They feel their energy being depleted, yet they don’t know how to change, because all they know is this state of being.

Questions to ask yourself:

  • How would you show up differently in your life if all the attention you give to others was first given to yourself, without guilt?

  • How much more a person of service could you be if you knew how to preserve your energy?

  • How much more happiness and zest would you feel in your life if you nourished yourself more often?

  • When did you decide focusing on your happiness is selfish?

  • How does it serve you to feel stuck in life?

  • Who would you have to finally say no to if you decided to fill your own cup first?

Supportive Oils, Herbs, and Crystals:

  • Depletion: Basil; Citrine

  • Apathy: Dill; Red Jasper

  • Aloofness: Neroli; Aventurine

Healing the patterns you inherited form your mother that make you believe depletion is the only proof of your worth starts with addressing the womb trauma and your Soul's decision to experience depletion.

In the meantime, explore your beliefs around delegating tasks, setting boundaries, and stubbornness.
