Excessive sweating - slipping out of a trap

Heavy sweating (hyperhidrosis) is abnormally excessive sweating that's not necessarily related to heat or exercise. This condition can affect different body areas such as palms of hands, armpits, head/forehead, shoulders, feet.

Metaphorically speaking, excessive sweating makes a person more "slippery" so they can "slither" or "slip out" a dangerous situation faster.

Emotions:

  • fear of getting caught

  • need to escape

  • fear of punishment

  • urge to get rid of toxic people

  • panic

I once worked with a male client who was sweating profusely while eating (even when the food was at room temperature). What was at the root of this person's problem was a fear of punishment: he was slapped and hit as a child every time he didn't finish eating "on time" (the definition of being "on time" depended on his caregiver's capriciousness and was unpredictable). His food would be taken away and feelings of helplessness and powerlessness were often his "dinner".

This trauma not only caused excessive swathing while eating, but it also contributed to digestive issues, food intolerances, chronic diarrhea, and even male-pattern baldness (from being repeatedly hit in the head).

What part of your body is sweating "too much"?

  • Head: what thoughts do you want to escape? Who or what is about to hit you in the head?

  • Hands: what social interaction is making you feel trapped?

  • Feet: if slippery feet were skates then what situation would be easier to "slip out"?

  • Shoulders: whose burdens and expectations do you want to run form?

  • Offensive sweat odor? Who needs to GTFO form your environment?

  • Sweating like crazy during menopause? If the sweat was an expression of unspoken emotions, what would be its emotional "flavor"?

Natural remedies that could help (always consult your doctor first):

  • St. John's Wort.

  • Black tea soaks.

  • Diaphragmatic breathing.

  • Rock Rose Flower Essence

  • Smoky Quartz and Lepidolite crystal stones

  • Tea tree EO

Healing the psychosomatic root cause:

Ancestral values, womb and birth trauma, ongoing emotional conflicts, and limiting beliefs need to be addressed to heal the root of this condition.
